Admissions

We are registered with OFSTED to take children from the age of two and providing we have vacancies are willing to take any child of two and over on a strict birth date order. However, we also have to keep within the guidelines of the 1989 Children’s Act and the Welfare Requirements of the EYFS (2021) with regards to staff child ratios 1: 8 for over 3’s and 1: 4 under 3’s.  We welcome children of different cultures/religion/custom/physical/mental ability to our preschool and offer them opportunities to develop in an environment free from prejudice and discrimination .

The Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) is a government grant which enables children aged two,* three and four to have 570 hours of free nursery education a year, from the term after their third birthday, if they are 3 and over and before they begin school or the term after their second birthday for 2 year olds. If your child is three years old then they will be eligible to receive FEEE funding from the 1st of the month the term after they are three. For example, if they turned two or three on or before 31st January, they will receive funding from 1st April .

*FEEE funding for 2 year olds is dependent on whether their parents are in receipt of certain entitlements.  Please contact the pre-school for further information.

St. Anne’s Pre-school is an LBWF approved FEEE provider. We offer the FEEE over 38 weeks of the year which equates to 15 hours per week. Our operating weeks coincide as much as possible with the term dates of the local schools.

Parents can choose to access the full entitlement across two providers. In such instances, parents must complete the relevant sections of the Parent Declaration form.

We can offer the full FEEE entitlement over a variety of sessions each week and if your child is eligible for funding they can access up to 15 hours per week, free and/or 27 out of the 30 hours entitlement, if they are eligible.

If your child is not eligible for FEEE funding, please check our Fees
